Regional Head of Business Solutions, Underwriting,
Claims and Medical APAC
Dr. SiNing Zhao is Regional Head of Business Solutions, Underwriting, Claims and Medical,
and a member of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP’s Asia Pacific regional underwriting, claims and medical teams. She is
experienced in product underwriting and guidelines development, medical technology, trends
and innovations review, risk management, case consultation, and business development
support. Dr. Zhao is based in Hong Kong, and first joined Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP as Regional Medical Director, Asia,
with a particular focus on the Hong Kong, Korea, and Japan markets. With this role, her scope
now expands to cover the APAC.
Prior to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP, Dr. Zhao was a medical director with a direct insurer. She also has extensive
clinical experience in tertiary teaching hospitals in Australia and Hong Kong. Dr. Zhao earned
her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Western
Australia. She has a specialist qualification in anaesthesiology as well as specialty training
in intensive care medicine and is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of
Anaesthetists, the Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists, and the Hong Kong Academy of
Medicine.
