Mark Stewart is Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary, Asia Pacific for Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP. Based in Sydney, he oversees the region's actuarial and pricing functions, including expanded responsibility for regional Financial Solutions pricing, while supporting Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP's businesses across Asia Pacific. Mark also provides leadership to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP Australia and Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP India and serves on the board of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP of Australia Limited.
Prior to his current role, he served as Managing Director of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP of Australia Limited, with overall responsibility for Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP¡¯s business in Australia and New Zealand. He also served as Chief Strategy Officer, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP Asia Pacific.
Mark also five years as Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP Australia¡¯s Chief Actuary, including two years as Chief Financial Officer.
He has 30 years of life insurance experience in Australia and has worked in several international markets as well. Before joining Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP Australia in 2007, Mark was an actuarial consultant with Towers Watson, where he managed several project teams focused on financial modeling, risk management and economic valuation.
Mark earned a bachelor¡¯s degree in economics from Macquarie University, and he qualified as an actuary in 1999. He is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FFIN), the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA), and the New Zealand Society of Actuaries. Mark is also a member of the Life Board Committee of the Financial Services Council.
