Jonathan Hughes, Chief Strategy Officer, EMEA, is responsible for shaping and driving the execution of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP¡¯s Enterprise Strategy within the markets of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He plays a central role in EMEA¡¯s business portfolio optimization, strategic marketing and operating model evolution.
Jonathan brings over 20 years¡¯ experience in life reinsurance, consulting and innovation. Since joining Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP in 2013, he has held a range of senior roles across the region, including Managing Director, EMEA for Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPX where he led partnerships with insurers, distributors and insurtechs to accelerate innovation and the emergence of new business models.
Prior to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP, Jonathan¡¯s roles spanned pricing, longevity solutions, product development and data-driven research. He has led multi-disciplinary teams of actuaries, underwriters and data scientists while working extensively with insurers and pension schemes across Europe.
A Fellow of the UK¡¯s Institute and Faculty of Actuaries since qualifying in 2006, Jonathan regularly speaks at industry events in EMEA and beyond. He has actively participated in industry bodies such as the Association of British Insurers or the Continuous Mortality Investigation, where he held numerous roles including Chair of the Executive Committee.
